SMM Daily Review: High-Chromium Steel Tender Delayed, Retail Market Rises on Bullish Sentiment. On March 28, the quotation for high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,900-8,000 yuan/mt (50% metal content), an increase of 100 yuan/mt (50% metal content) compared to the previous trading day.
On March 28, the quotation for high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,900-8,000 yuan/mt (50% metal content), an increase of 100 yuan/mt (50% metal content) compared to the previous trading day. Currently, market expectations for the April high-carbon ferrochrome steel tender are strong, and despite sluggish month-end transactions, bullish sentiment remains intense. This month, stainless steel production remained at a high level, driving robust demand for ferrochrome. However, ferrochrome producers generally faced losses, with low operating rates leading to insufficient market supply. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of strengthening market expectations, chrome ore prices continued to rise, significantly enhancing the cost support for ferrochrome, and retail prices also increased accordingly. 》Order and view SMM metal spot historical prices
